The Village at Swope Park
Kēvin Callahan and Prairie Primitives uses wood found primarily on his property to create one-of-a kind keepsakes. Kēvin's "spoons" recall an earlier time, perhaps when pioneers pushed out onto the prairies, or in a time of magic when wizards conjured spells. Many of these creations carry overtones of The Hobbit, or shades of Harry Potter. His repertoire includes wooden objects in the form of trays, vases, bowls, unique walking sticks, flint blade knives, stone war clubs, small jewelry, and a few other items.
As an artist, Callahan works in acrylic, watercolor, wood, and photography. His award-winning work hangs in collections throughout the United States and Europe.
Prairie Primitives and the Elegant Line Studio/gallery are located in Parkville, MO.
