Creative Movement Workshop and Artworks Bus Tour with Harlan Brownlee

Southeast Community Center

No special knowledge is needed to have a great time in this workshop. It will be an extraordinary opportunity to learn about Open Spaces artworks throughout Swope Park, using your mind and your body. Harlan Brownlee is a Kennedy Center Teaching Artist, trained in engaging the learning mind through the arts. He is also a specialist in creative movement and dance, and CEO for Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey. Mr. Brownlee will lead a bus tour of Open Spaces artworks in Swope park, guiding conversation and activities to learn and remember the works. Then, the bus will take you to a Swope Park space where he will guide an interpretative workshop in creative movement, based on the artworks. Not only will you learn deeply about the Open Spaces works, but you'll also have fun and make lasting memories. Dress comfortably.
