Open Spaces Nature Art Workshop with Megan Gallant

Lakeside Nature Center

Bring the kids for a fabulous hour in the garden, the woods and the art studio with multimedia artist, Megan Gallant! All ages can register and join in, but kids are especially welcomed to this 1-hour experience gathering pigments and colors in nature and creating an artwork with them! The studio space at Lakeside Nature Center is the perfect place to bring Nature and Art together, and the fall flowers and leaves will be at their finest for this workshop!

Multimedia artist Megan Gallant is a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute and an avid arts collaborator. She brings her talent in drawing and multimedia work to community improvement initiatives, connecting artwork to nature, memory and to people helping people. In 2017, she helped convert a vacant lot in St. Joseph into a food forest and sculpture garden. For four seasons, she facilitated the Kemper Art Museum's teen arts experience, No Boundaries. Her most recent of numerous exhibitions was at the Gillis Art Lab, where she was part of the Suspended Stories show, in 2017.
