Mikal Shapiro
Kansas City songwriter Mikal Shapiro’s musical influences span popular songs, psychedelic rock, lounge music and old-time spirituals, resulting in music that’s been described as “a savvy and seamless blend of folk, rock, pop, jazz and blues.” Shapiro has released five critically acclaimed albums, including 2015’s The Musical, which was widely praised for its inspired storytelling. Performing with her band, also called The Musical, Shapiro will debut new songs from her 2018 album.
