newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble

Kansas City’s pre-eminent chamber group dedicated to performing contemporary works by living composers, newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble was founded by a group of regional musicians with a common interest in new music. NewEar’s Open Spaces concert, Our Ancient Past, is a program of art music written on the theme of folktales and ancient music, and includes compositions by Nina C. Young, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Gregory Gagnon.
