The Sexy Accident
Formed 12 years ago by singer and bandleader Jesse Kates, Kansas City’s The Sexy Accident plays mercurial pop with brains and heart, “driven by catchy melodies and smart, real-life lyric writing.” In 2017 the band released its sixth album, Champagne Babycakes, produced by legendary Seattle producer Steve Fisk, and has even issued it as a limited edition vinyl LP accompanied by a deck of 54 playing cards.
