Maura Garcia Dance offers performances featuring choreographic works of Artistic Director Maura Garcia (non-enrolled Cherokee/Mattamuskeet) and collaborating artists. Through narrative driven choreography Garcia seeks to form connections, empower Indigenous cultural values and explore the rhythms of the natural world. For MGD's two Open Spaces performances, Garcia premieres a new full-length work, Uncle Jimmy’s Table, featuring handcrafted sculptures by Rachelle Gardner-Roe.
