Dynamo!

São Paulo-based artist Lucia Koch uses installations, videos and photographs to explore the means of effecting change in one’s experience of the environment. By covering architectural façades, skylights and windows with translucent materials or filters, or by producing photographs that challenge perceptions of scale, Koch’s interest is in creating altered states of place, utilizing light and color to transform our spatial experiences. Koch’s Kansas City project, Dynamo!, incorporates sounds in collaboration with Rio de Janeiro musician and composer Domenico Lancellotti.
